May/June Doop

Soooo Shazz and I have begun to ship our characters really bad. So bad that I have to make weird sketches of them and probably color said sketches later. hurrrrrr
XUN. One of Fuu's adopted bebe's. He's needed a desperate redesign and I like this one so much more. ;u;
How cuuuuuuute. Also, who enjoys Fuu's hotpants? I do. unf.
Ferret! He's my new super adorable Volf Psion(Psychokinesis)/Rogue. He's actually suuuuper bad at thieving (levels are Psion 8/Rogue 2) so it's very helpful to be able to control light and sounds and whatnot with his mind. 8D;
Oh yes. DM-chan sent all the Rising Legion characters into magically enduced dreams where we were confronted by the main baddie, Katal.

I mean look at the guy. He just screams skeevy. Avidan is not so sure how to feel about this, obviously.

Savannah Sketches

I went down to Savannah, GA to visit some friends of mine, and ended up doing a massive amount of sketching. So here's to sharing? xD I'll definitely have some beginning of school sketches going up sooner as well.

First is a new mage character of mine, Salvatore Malcare, the leader of the Scions of the Blind Seer in Nilarion (Rachel's world) who is an evil and scary man. This is why I don't make magic users! They end up able overpowered somehow and ridiculously frightening. Sal has massive amounts blood and mind magic soooo... yup. He'll be interesting to play if I get around to it.
Sketcha from an RL log. Somehow Jonan and Avidan get along really well, minus the fact that Jonan is trying to explain that the party has demon problems and Avidan thinks he's just a crazy, superstitious old man. HUP that'll go over well with the rest of the group.
Jacob and Katal. (Katal is our villain who is a being called a World-Slayer. Name kinda says it all. durp.) BAD TOUCH, BAD TOUCH.
I've been revising Selam a bit more, who takes up his place as a lord in the Rothfelt house of Khemar. Rothfelt and Thaydin... kinda get along I think?

Iver is also sad and tired sometimes. He should sleep more. 8(

And to the bottom right is Iirer's holy symbol. It frightens me! This means I've done well, bwhahaha.

Top is of Alter and Avidan, being drunk elves. Doesn't get much better than that, actually. I had some dialogue for this head scene but HUP it disappeared along the way.

Bottom is more Katal, and more Avidan probably ruining things for the party. I'M SO GOOD AT THIS YOU GUYS.

A concept sheet for Deror in Final Arcanum. Normally I wing designs for minor characters (badumpsh! You get it?) but Deror is cute in his scared-up-face way.

This is actually an old sketch I never shared with the world, save Zimmay. Gotta love normal Desch-Jasperisms. Why do I always end up playing characters that annoy the other characters in some way or another?

New Character: Avidan of Jhalir

Before the break in our Rising Legions game (D&D for those who haven't heard me "gnfjdagkn" over it), I've retired my Lenzian Paladin, Fuu, who is seen earlier on this blog with the slightly crazy Elven Rogue(/Master of Masks). Due to his higher IQ, he's constantly thinking in math and alchemic algorithims, and he hates it, so to escape overthinking anything he drinks. A lot. Like... a lot a lot. To the point where he's named his constantly filled flasks Odette, Clairiece, and Isabella.

In Jhalir, his home, he operates as a detective of sorts and leads an investigative group called the White Masks. This name actually came from one of the featureless magical masks he holds, Cassius, (the faceless mask for those who know the class!) that protects his mind from magical effects. His other mask, Tiamat, is shaped like a dragon. It lets him breath fire. I'm so excited to use it. >D

Anyway, he and Alter are total bros. I expect many good things ahead!

Thanksgiving Weekend

At some point Fuu gives Jacob a haircut when he decides he wants a whole new look. This hasn't happened in log yet buuuut hey, it's how I imagine it. 8D;
Designs for devils in FA-verse (Khartes is no longer the name btw. I've grown to hate it. -n-) I like the simplicity of their designs, but excuse the blah sketch. Just spitting out designs!
A redesign for Selam, a master Alchemist at the age of 16 (nope, he didn't have much of a life, but at least that's impressive!) and lord of the Kia estate in Khemar at age of 17. He tends to be a srs guy. See what war does to you?

Haha, more spam for you guys! I did this concept of Leander back in August and never uploaded. Leander, brother to Variance (Xandrei's character), both of which are Vampeyr's of Nilarion, except Leander's a little... ADHD. 8D;
Fuu's chitlins. Daaw. I'm almost finished coloring this, just haven't gotten to it yet. u_u From top-right to left bottom, they are Pon, Yin, Mei, and Xun. (What's with Lenzians and three letter names?)

Sorry for not posting in so long everyone. It's been quite the hectic semester, BUT HERE. Have angst from the Rising Legions session last night. Nazjwa was unfortunately kidnapped (much to Fuu's horror) but came back to us! Just... not very healthy. WHUPS.

Haha, I haven't drawn Yori for awhile. I might redraw this later for a print.

Costume redesigns for chapter 2 in FA~ I actually really like them. Acacitli looks more his age for one, and Mael and Iver look more... professional? Does looking more like a thief (in Iver's case) count?


Rachel, our DM for Empires Clashing and Rising Legions is running a World of Darkness: Hunter the Vigil game in the winter while half our D&D group is studying in France. I'm working on character designs and am so torn. xD (Also enjoy that Desch sketch that squeezed in there~!)

After Game Sketches

Every week after the games I participate in (Empires Clashing and now Rising Legions) I try and do a sketch of a scene. I haven't done many yet, and they're just warmups, but here you go~

Fuu Past Sketches

I was sketching during work today and decided to explore Fuu's past a little. Top left is her and Leean, the captive elf sorcerer she secretly gave food and visited. Top right is her husband Gian, and bottom is Gian and Fuu with baby Yin. So cute.

And baby faces are hard to draw when they're that small on the page. I don't really suggest it.

Fuu Color Test

I swear, Fuu has possibly been the most difficult character for me to design with both her physical design and her actual personality and history. I'm still not sure which I like best, especially since Lenzian's skin is supposed to have a bluish tint, so I ran a coloring through a few filters. I'm torn between the second and third from the left. The first just looks like a bad sunburn, and the last miiight be too extreme.

We shall see! I really want to do a portrait of her soon.

Fuu Full Design

I'm actually very happy with how these two designs came out, especially the left. Fuu comes from Lenzia, which is a volcanic land based off of Imperial China (culturally speaking at least), and her race is based off of the flying serpent they worship, so she's cold blooded. When she leaves Lenzia, she has to dress extra warm in order to avoid hypothermia. The design on the right was from before she left when she was the wife of a well-to do researcher, Giam.
